Seretide for COPD

Use Seretide and get on with the everyday things in your life.

Seretide can improve COPD symptoms within days*1

Day 2 - Improvement in breathlessness*1
Day 4 - Improvement in cough*1
Day 5 - Reduction in night awakenings*1

*Significant difference vs. placebo in controlled clinical trials.

Seretide 2-in-1 combination inhaler, for COPD treatment, contains two types of medication which helps stop the breathlessness and wheezing from coming on by:
  1. Reducing lung swelling and redness (inflammation) using the active ingredient in the orange Flixotide inhaler (fluticasone propionate, an Inhaled Corticosteroid).
  2. Relaxing the muscles around your airways to help them stay open, making it easier for air to get in and out, by using the active ingredient in the green inhaler Serevent (salmeterol xinafoate, a Long-Acting Bronchodilator).

Note: Seretide should not be used to relieve a sudden attack of breathlessness or wheezing. If you get this sort of attack you must use a quick acting inhaler (e.g. Ventolin) also known as a reliever puffer. Always carry your blue Ventolin reliever inhaler with you.

When you regularly take Seretide twice a day, every day, these two ingredients can help manage your COPD symptoms throughout the day and night.
